The Budock Vean has been recognised for its commitment to healthy eating by being awarded a Cornwall Council Gold ‘CHEFS’ gong.
The CHEFS (Cornwall Healthier Eating and Food Safety) award recognises commitment to offering healthy menu options and using locally sourced food.
The accolade followed swiftly after Food Standards Agency inspectors awarded the hotel their top mark of 5 for Food Hygiene.
Owner, Martin Barlow, said: “This isn’t exactly ‘news’ to us because we’ve always sourced the vast majority of food for our restaurant from within just a few miles of the hotel.
“But it’s absolutely great to get this prestigious seal of approval for the fact that the food we serve our guests is as healthy as it’s tasty.”
