Energy efficiency specialist Enact Energy has helped a local voluntary group secure £126k of Government funding to help homes in south east Cornwall benefit from renewable heating technology.
The funding for Polperro United Renewable Energy (PURE) has been awarded through the Government’s Renewable Heat Premium Payment Communities Scheme (RHPP2), which supports the installation of renewable heating and hot water technologies.
PURE was one of only 38 other community schemes across the country to successfully bid for funding which will be used to support homes in Polperro, Lansallas, Looe, Pelynt and Lanreath.
One of PURE’s founders, Paul Vaughan, remarked: “We have worked very closely with Enact Energy and their help has been instrumental in us securing the RHPP2 funding.”
