The Brian Etherington Meat Co is opening a farm shop next month at Wheal Rose near Scorrier.
Known throughout the south west for its high quality meats, Etherington’s will now offer a wide range of local produce including fish, vegetables and dairy products. The new shop will also house a bakery creating pasties from a recipe dating back 100 years.
MD Mark Etherington said: “Etherington’s Farm Shop will offer the very best of Cornish food and drink at an affordable price. The quality is high and the food miles low, so we are certain that the shop will quickly become a favourite with local people.”
Etherington’s new shop is made from wood and glass, making it light and contemporary. The upstairs will accommodate the Butchery Academy as well as some conferencing facilities.
To celebrate the launch, the family-run company is holding an open day on November 17.
