University College Falmouth is launching a new Master in Business Administration (MBA) course this October – the Cornwall MBA.
Initially, the course is being offered as a part-time two-year executive option, enabling study while in full-time work. Next year, it will also be available as a one-year, full-time on campus course.
The new programme has been specifically designed with Cornwall in mind, looking to boost the local economy, and is believed to be the first of its kind linking directly with the creative industries.
It has four key themes running through the curriculum: Creativity & Innovation; Globalisation; Change Management and Adding Value. There are also a number of ‘elective pathways’ on the course, enabling students to specialise within a wide range of industry sectors, such as advertising & marketing, digital media, tourism & hospitality, and accounting & finance.
