The new funding, which comes from Lloyds Bank, will see the addition of five accommodation blocks, which will house 224 rooms. The new accommodation will receive its first occupants from the start of the 2012 academic year. The total number of rooms at the Campus will then be 1451.

The Tremough Campus Services Group (TCSG) is leading the project and awarded the contract for the latest phase of development to Midas Construction.

TCSG CEO Niamh Lamond: “We’re extremely pleased to have the backing of Lloyds Bank for the final phase in this exciting project. Over the past ten years our aim has been to develop the campus into a world-class learning and living environment for our students and it has been great to have the support of a financial partner that understands our vision and ambitions for the Tremough Campus.”
