A small Cornish business has beaten off hundreds of hopefuls across the country in the race to supply athletes and visitors with the best of British foods for the London Olympics.

Delabole-based Deli Farm Charcuterie has secured two contracts to supply the games with a selection of its artisan air-dried charcuterie.

To cope with the increase in production, the company has taken on new staff and trebled the quantity of raw ingredients.

Owner Martin Edwards commented. “It is exciting having the Olympic Games in London this year and we are thrilled to be a part of it.

“Supplying such a prestigious sporting event is a major achievement; our British Charcuterie will be enjoyed by thousands from all corners of the world.”
