More than 100 business representatives attended the launch of the University of Exeter’s Environment and Sustainability Institute (ESI) Knowledge Exchange Strategy recently.
The event, held at the University’s Tremough campus, attracted business representatives from across the south west. Together with academic experts and representatives from the university, they discussed how to create an environmental knowledge economy in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The ESI is a £30 million interdisciplinary centre leading cutting-edge research into the impacts of environmental change and the mitigation and management of its effects. It is due to be complete and ready for occupancy in October 2012.
