Poor weather has led to delays in the deployment of an underwater cable off the Hayle coast as part of the Wave Hub project.
The 25km cable was due to be laid earlier this week, but strong winds and a sea swell have led to a postponement. Engineers are now monitoring the weather to decide when to begin.
The whole process was expected to have been completed next week, prior to the hub being lowered onto the seabed.
Wave Hub tests are due to begin in the autumn.
