The Mariette

The Mediterranean-based Herreshoff schooner Mariette has arrived in Falmouth for her scheduled pre-summer refit at Pendennis.

As part of the work, she will undertake an engineering overhaul and a full refit of her generator space, including the replacement of her generators.

In addition to this, her job list also includes underwater hull fairing and the addition of new folding propellers in order to increase her efficiency and through the water performance – just in time to compete against other classic sailing yachts in this year’s Pendennis Cup (August 9-14).

Mariette is the first international competitor in this year’s regatta to enter British waters and with a Length Overall of 42.05m she is one of the largest competitors taking part in the fleet.
