A Cornish company that provides an eco-friendly carpet and upholstery cleaning service for domestic and commercial customers has signed up to the Green Achiever scheme.
Port Isaac-based Kernow Ecoclean has become the latest business prepared to further demonstrate its green credentials, by getting behind the initiative developed by E4environment.
The first level of the scheme is self-assessment, which includes a declaration of environmental commitment. Silver is the next and demonstrates the positive action taken in the way the business cares for the environment. The highest level, gold, is attained following an extensive environmental audit.
Keith Evans, proprietor at Kernow Ecoclean, said: “We are dedicated to providing first class, environmentally friendly cleaning solutions for carpets and soft furnishings. We use some of the safest and most effective products currently available. Our cleaning methods ensure that no toxic chemicals or sticky residues remain behind and the biodegradable products do not lead to rapid re soiling.
“The Green Achiever scheme provides a great reason to network with other businesses, and is a very positive step forward with realistic, sustainable targets set by us that our customers and suppliers can understand.”
