The family owned and managed building firm, Gloweth Limited, has moved into new purpose built offices and workshops on the Threemilestone Industrial Estate in Truro.

The new building, located across the road from the previous office, provides the expanding business with more spacious facilities enabling the company to continue its growth through what many see as a difficult period for the building industry.

The company currently operates four principle arms; building, joinery, electrical and specialist drilling, with the core business remaining in building and construction. With 5,000 sq ft of floor space, the new workshop offers the business double the space for growth of the company’s manufacturing activities.

The new building has been designed to blend with its surroundings, featuring a mixture of timber cladding and other design features. Overlooking the Greenbottom Valley, the workshops and offices act as a testament to the firm’s commitment to the highest building and quality standards.

Gloweth has been in business since the 1960’s and remains in the hands of the Albury family, with brother and sister, Neil and Denise Albury, heading up the company’s operations. Current Managing Director, Neil, took over the firm in his early 20s after receiving the news that his father was terminally ill.

Managing Director, Neil Albury said,

“I am proud to continue operating the company started by my father nearly fifty years ago. By moving into this new purpose built premises we are affirming our commitment to grow the company and continue investing in the Cornish economy.

“I had the opportunity to learn my trade through an apprenticeship with the company. Providing new opportunities for those entering the industry remains a clear focus for the business and this investment provides us with further abilities to offer new placements in the future.” He continued.
