Following news of Jump Media Ltd going into administration, Business Cornwall can reveal that the assets and book debts of the company have been acquired by Jump Media Design Ltd.
Commenting on the changes at the company, MD Robert Hatcher told Business Cornwall: “The core business of Jump Media Limited over the past nine years has been as a design and internet agency, which has always been successful and profitable.
“Just over three years ago we began development of a software application known as Control Point. Although the company spent over £400k in developing the product, during 2008 it became clear that it was proving to be a considerable drain on Jump Media Limited both financially and in its management, and therefore we took the decision to cease further development and withdrew it from the market.
“On January 19, the assets and book debts of Jump Media Limited were bought by Jump Media Design Limited, at which time Jump Media Limited was put into administration.”
As we reported yesterday, clients’ websites went down – for about 29 hours – but as of 4pm yesterday were all fully back online.
Hatcher stressed the management, design and programming teams at Jump Media Design Ltd are all the same as before, and the business is now in a position where it can now fully concentrate on its design and internet clients.
“Jump Media Design Limited now has a strong financial base,” added Hatcher, “with a good advance order book and regular income streams and is very well placed for the deteriorating economic situation.”
