On Tuesday 30th September 2008 at 7.30pm an open meeting for businesses is to be held in the Hannafore Point Hotel Ballroom, West Looe.Any business within the Looe, Polperro and District area is invited to attend and be part of the resurgence of the Chamber of Trade and Commerce. The Chamber hopes to widen its areas of influence and already businesses from local Parishes have indicated their wish to be part of what could become the largest organisation in the area. It’s remit may include; publicising and promoting the S.E. Cornwall area for tourism, extolling the advantages of the area for short and long holiday breaks, inter-trading and networking, group marketing initiatives, social and support network and influencing and lobbying. The resurgence of the Chamber is also timely in terms of making sure SE Cornwall gets its fair share of European and Central Government funding streams and has a strong business voice in the new Unitary Council for Cornwall.
The Chamber wishes to encompass retail, restaurants, cafes, the service sectors, professions …in fact ANY business.
The future improvement of Business and Tourism starts on the 30th September … at 7.30pm!
