Feritech Global Ltd is looking for a Purchaser.

About the role

The role is to take responsibility for purchasing for both production in the head office and offshore operations. The purchasing responsibility varies from electrical and electronic items to material purchasing such as steel, aluminium and high value single purchase items.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of buying across multi disciplines while balancing lead time, price and quality as the specific project dictates.

You will be based at our new Innovation Centre, near Falmouth

Salary Hours Hols

  • £23,000- £26,000 negotiable depending on experience.
  • 5 hrs per week
  • 33 days holiday per annum inc bank holidays
  • Opt-in private medical & health care package and cycle to work scheme

Responsibilities

You will have responsibility for the following:

  • Procurement of goods and services
  • Determining the best routes for sourcing products and materials
  • Inventory management
  • Updating records and invoicing dates
  • Providing material quotes and lead times to assist in bidding for new work
  • Cost analysis on projects verses budgets to present to the Procurement Manager

Essential Prerequisites

  • Excellent IT skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience of working with MRP systems.
  • Strong communicator
  • Detail focused individual
  • Motivated individual
  • Full UK driving license
