Nominations are now open for Cornwall’s 30 under 30 Awards.
Cornwall Chamber of Commerce along with Business Cornwall magazine, Don’t Cry Wolf, Pirate FM and Truro & Penwith College, are on the hunt for the best of Cornwall’s thriving young talent.
If you are a self-motivated, innovative entrepreneur, businessperson or professional making waves in Cornwall then we want to hear from you or you can nominate an outstanding member of your team, a friend that inspires you, or even a family member you know has worked tirelessly to get where they are today.
To be eligible for the award, 30 under 30 candidates must be employed, or self-employed, under the age of 30 on March 18, 2022, living and working in Cornwall. The judges want to see a range of nominations to represent the great diversity Cornwall has to offer.
We have some incredible judges this year including Cornwall Chamber’s chief executive Kim Conchie, Business Cornwall publisher Toni Eyriey, Don’t Cry Wolf’s John Brown, customer development manager at Truro & Penwith College Tom Moran, station director of Pirate FM Mark Peters.
Conchie said: “ I’m so excited to be warming up to our annual 30 under 30 Awards. It’s the event where we judge and meet some of Cornwall’s rising stars who inspire and engage the panel with their energy, knowledge, and enthusiasm. The 30 under 30 Awards and now the Surge events for this group throughout 2022 are highlights of my year. Make sure you get your nominations in pronto.”
John Brown from Don’t Cry Wolf added: “Cornwall has some of the most extraordinary and ambitious young talent working to not just usher in a new era of business, but also define a new society. It’s a privilege for Don’t Cry Wolf to be a part of the awards and celebrate these inspirational people.”
All nominees are encouraged to join Cornwall Chamber’s LinkedIn group Chamber Surge of Entrepreneurs. This group is here to support you through your 30 under 30 application. Being a member of the group will also give you access to new SURGE events and the opportunity to make important business connections.
The closing date for nominations is March 18. All applications need to be completed and sent to jessica@cornwallchamber.co.uk with a high-res image of the nominee before this date. The form can be found by clicking here.
The 2022 30 under 30 winners will be announced in the May issue of Business Cornwall magazine; and the awards ceremony will be on June 17.
