Opportunity to forge leading role in growing metals business
One of Cornwall’s leading specialist suppliers of steel reinforcement products has announced a rare opportunity to join its management team on a journey towards becoming managing director.
Devoran Metals is recruiting for a new operations director to take on day-to-day control of the business and deliver an ambitious expansion plan.
The business, which turns over around £9m and employs 25 people, provides products for concrete reinforcement and a range of construction accessories including chemicals and steel formwork. Established in 1966 it is the only firm in Cornwall to be approved by industry standards organisation CARES.
The new operations director will take a driving role in the next stage of the business’ growth as well as taking responsibility for strategy to achieve the objectives of shareholders and stakeholders. They will manage budgets, finance, risks and profitability. They will also oversee the creation and implementation of a new marketing plan.
As the growth plan is successfully delivered it is hoped the operations manager will take on the role of managing director and Richard Orsman, the managing director, will take on the role of chairman.
