We (JHAV) provide a wide range of support from full production through to single item hire. Our work isn’t just local, we travel nationally and internationally delivering our unique pro-active approach to technical event production where ever and when ever needed.
2015 was a busy year for us, we have seen real growth in the number of events taking place in the region including international conferences. We collaborated with Plymouth University in March to transform a Torquay venue, creating a bespoke multimedia exhibition and presentation theatre for an international research conference. This included touch screen technology, large format screens, custom printed graphics, digital content and a giant virtual fish tank, creating a five day interactive multimedia hub for the international delegates.
Devon & Cornwall have some really unique venues… Where else would you be able to showcase a organisations services needing 30,000sqft, how about an aircraft hanger at Newquay Airport, for the Cornwall Expo. The unique Eden Project has been home to a number of events we have supported this year and we have recently worked with a number of local venues, such as the Kingston Estate and Lusty Glaze to provide lighting and AV support for their events and weddings. That’s just to mention a few of the prestigious venues in the region that we work with.
The beginning of the summer takes us to Royal Cornwall Show which is the biggest opportunity for companies to present themselves to Cornwall and the South West. This is a fun-packed week for us as we provide technical services to Cornwall College, Cornwall Food and Drink and Plymouth University helping design, build and deliver their exhibition stands.
Last August, we boarded the ferry at Plymouth and headed over to Lorient in France to support the Cornwall and Isle of Man pavilion at the International Celtic Festival showcasing the best in Celtic culture and music from around the world. Cornwall put on an outstanding show with brilliant music acts and food including cooking demonstrations from Nathan Outlaw.
The Lorient Festival wasn’t the only opportunity for us to work with renowned and chefs last year. Again we supported Fifteen Cornwall with their Spring and Autumn Fayre, providing a comprehensive AV package for their demonstration stage. Other food festivals we work with include The Great Cornish Food Festival, Falmouth Oyster Festival and Padstow Christmas Festival. These are fantastic showcases that celebrate the region’s produce, chefs and producers.
Our unique offering provides a vast experience and knowledge in both corporate events and Live music, so when the corporate business slows down in the summer as it tends to trend around school term times we go into live mode using our comprehensive equipment and technical support to a number of music events and festivals with Looe Music Festival closing our live season.
These are just a few highlights of our year that was 2015, we’d like to thank everyone that was part of it. We are looking forward to 2016, we have already had a lighting package out on tour with Jamie Lawson and continue to work on events with Plymouth University which have included providing traffic management consultancy and site management. We have begun working on some very exciting live music events taking place over the summer which will bring yet more world class acts to Cornwall and have invested heavily in new equipment to help support your events.
We would like to congratulate all the businesses and people nominated in all the award ceremonies we have supported this past year and wish good luck to the nominees of the Cornwall Business Awards being held at St Mellion International Resort. We are proud to be producing this event again for the fifth year running.
